rare pearls — shop at pearl
It's on trips to Denmark, Italy, Australia and the States, that we find our timeless dresses, our chunky toy trailers, our snuggle-in slings. We bring the kids, we make it an expedition, a treasure hunt if you will.
It's then that we find clothes that actually make you stop, and want to touch, and cause you to imagine scenes where your children will wear them. Clothes that celebrate the beauty and love as well as the rough and tumble of children — boho pieces from I love gorgeous, strong shapes and colours from Caramel, vibrant and quirky jerseys from Molo.
Pearl is one of the only shops where you'll meet these names, because we went out to discover them. We only deal in small numbers, we only want what sings out.
The colours in the shop are compelling. We have pink, we have blue. But we also have brilliant, spirited yellows and reds and greens and shock horror we have tees and jerseys in black, because kids look great and love wearing a whole spectrum of brightness and boldness.
The strange thing about most children's shops, is that they're not all that keen on having kids in them. Well, not here. We have toys to play with, books to read and space to sit, criss-cross apple sauce, on the floor. We may have preciously lovely things but that doesn't make us precious.
